Today when they met at Portalocity, Lana was dressed in her Earth clothes, though for previous classes it had been her own galaxy's. She was also wearing a very bright blue scarf. And if you looked close enough to notice, blue contact lenses.
"Today we're headed to the capitol world of the Galactic Republic," she announced. "It's known as Coruscant. The entire planet is one city thousands of levels deep. We'll be heading to a marketplace, since shopping seems to be popular. You can find goods from hundreds of worlds here. A few words of caution: before buying anything, make sure it's safe for humans and for your own species if you're not human." She felt she'd better cover all bases. "Do not go anywhere that isn't public. Do not wander far from the market. Do not, under any circumstances, go down more than two levels."
She gestured at her scarf. "I should be easy to spot. If you need anything or anybody gives you trouble, find me."
With that, she led them into a bustling city square where stalls and shops filled a wide plasteel and synthcrete walkway. If you looked over the side, you would see very far down. Craft large and small zoomed in sketchily-defined lanes above, around, and below. People of all species bartered and bickered for goods.
Don't worry, there probably wouldn't be any blasters or lightsabers pulled.
Probably.
